Most books are just repeats of what we already know. this book is full of useful information about oils and information on how to make our lives better without the use of toxins. There is a wonderful section on the history and usage of essential oils, individual oil information, health and healing, foods, great DIY information. This is exactly what I thought it would be. This is my main go-to book for essential oil information.

After completing an electronic tax software program for my small business, and before hitting the "send" button, I wanted to be sure not to miss any deductions before filing. This book is an easy one hour read, with some humor, but does not add much to what the software program had. The first 26 pages of narrative were somewhat helpful, but the "475 tax deductions" section were just very brief summaries of what my tax software already offered. The home office mention did not include the latest IRS simplified home office deduction at all.

Clearly-presented information, and well-written

But there was not nearly enough pertaining to we quarterly-tax filers. Many of us don't have employees, so how about including tax tips for single-member LLC, quarterly-filing entrepreneurs (read: dog walkers) ?

Becoming ever more an invaluable resource...

I stumbled upon this book soon after I started my consulting business and I'm glad that I did. Had I not read this book, I would have lost thousands of dollars that are otherwise completely legal to claim - the IRS merely doesn't go shouting the deductions you might be entitled to; you have to research them. This book has helped me as an LLC, but it takes into account the major types of business entities and differentiates which can deduct what (Sole Proprietorship, LLC/LLP, C Corporation, & S Corporation).

If all of this sounds daunting to someone considering entering into business for themselves, this book gives sound advice as to how to protect yourself if an audit does come your way - the book simply does not advocate anything illegal; the tax deductions/credits are there for a reason & you should use them to their fullest extent.

Why I think this book will become ever more important (?). I think it will because this is the new economy that Americans are forced to operate within. If they cannot find full time employment, but can find a reasonable part-time position (or two), they can also mobilize their skill set as a business and offset their tax burden significantly. The IRS only requires that one show intent to make profit for a business to be valid and for appropriate deductions to count. If the American people can sever their liability into a company that operates in the red and have the option for pass through taxation (taxed only once; not two entities) on their income tax, then they can substantially reduce their tax obligations through their small business. This could turn a part-time salary of say $20k net into something more akin to $24-26K net, depending on the deductions one takes.

At minimum, the IRS expects start-ups to operate in the red for the first 3-5 years; this is why the LLC (among other reasons) has become so popular in the past 5-10 years. Even the middle-class that retains respectably high wages can reduce their tax burden, depending on what they are willing to capitalize their LLC with. A new car can be purchased by an LLC and amortized over a period of years; a home office space can be deducted from one's mortgage based on the relative amount of square footage it takes up within one's home; even books and magazines can be deducted in some instances. There is just so much money the government allows as deductions that can and will (as people learn) be used to reduce peoples' taxable incomes. This book explains a lot of those deductions in thorough detail and can help tremendously, particularly for the underemployed who have marketable skills that they can generate at least some profit from (and everybody has something they can do that another cannot).

It is not often that literary art takes a reader deep into the psyche of characters. In "Conclave: A Journal of Character," the reader may not travel far and wide in physical space but is pulled into the vast inner universe of characters portrayed in interviews, fiction, flash fiction, creative nonfiction, poems, essays, and images.

Whether the character overcomes stuttering, is a woman's lifetime struggle with her mother's relationship, is a slightly retarded teen, or a married couple's infidelity, the reader senses and perceives the world through the character's stream-of-consciousness.

For the lover of literary depth, fiction or nonfiction, "Conclave: A Journal of Character" is a book to read.

Great Review Book For BC Calculus

My teacher had us buy this book at the begining of the year, and she assigned problems from it, and is has been invaluable. The problems it gives are not your standard textbook plug-in-the formula questions. There are some of those, but most of the questions require some thinking and an actual understanding of Calculus. Even though I switched teachers, I still used the book to help review for tests, and it has worked great. This is a great buy for anyone who needs a supplement of questions to help study from during the school year for BC calculus. The only negative about the book is that it lacks detailed explanations. It only gives the answers and also gives a cross reference of questions by topics.

best thing to ever use

Seriously, its multiple choice questions are the closest you can get to the actual exam. The free-response is iffy. I'd go with the Barron's review book for the free-response questions. However, if you can ace the multiple choice questions, you should have no problem with getting a 4 or a 5 on the actual exam. I used this book religiously (mostly because of my teacher) and I got a 5 on the BC Calc exam as well as a 5 on the AB subscore.
